OakLuv’s Lights the Town Holiday Celebration is a free, family-centered evening at Children’s Fairyland on December 19, 2025, from 5:00–9:00 PM. The park will be open exclusively for registered guests to enjoy a joyful, community-powered holiday experience.

Yes. Every guest, including children must have a free ticket so we can safely welcome families into Fairyland. Tickets help us manage capacity and ensure a magical experience for everyone.

Yes. Thanks to our community partners and generous supporters, admission, rides, entertainment, and activities are all completely free. Warm meals and beverages will also be available at no cost while supplies last.

Oakland families and community members of all ages are welcome with a free, pre-registered ticket. Fairyland’s standard policy applies: Adults must be accompanied by a child, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Everyone entering the park needs their own ticket.

Families can enjoy live entertainment, puppet shows, toy giveaways, Santa’s Workshop, special holiday performances, raffles, and a Community Zone showcasing local organizations offering resources and support.

Check-in is at the main gate on Bellevue Avenue. Have your ticket QR code on your phone or printed ticket ready. Anyone entering the park needs their own ticket to enter.

We recommend warm layers, comfortable shoes, and a fully charged phone for QR codes and photos. Holiday outfits or festive costumes are encouraged! Strollers are welcome.

To keep the event safe and family-friendly, the following items are not permitted:
Alcohol
Pets (service animals are welcome)
Large coolers
Bikes, scooters, or wheeled riding toys
Confetti, glitter, or anything that creates debris

The celebration will continue in light rain or shine, and activities may be adjusted as needed.

The gates open at 5:00 PM, and families may arrive any time during the event. For the smoothest entry, we recommend arriving between 5:00–6:30 PM and having your QR code ready.

Limited free parking is available in the Fairyland lot on Bellevue Avenue. Metered street parking (free after 6 pm) around Lake Merritt is also available but fills quickly. Please plan to arrive early or consider rideshare or public transportation for convenience.

Yes. Fairyland is stroller-friendly and wheelchair accessible. ADA parking is available near the main entrance on Bellevue Avenue.

Yes. A warm meal and beverages will be available for all guests while supplies last. Vegetarian options will be available, and dietary accommodations will be clearly labeled.

Yes. If you cannot attend, you can cancel your tickets or you can give your free ticket to another family. Each guest must present a valid QR code at check-in.

Re-entry is allowed with your event wristband. Please check with staff at the gate before exiting.

Yes. Event photographers and videographers will be present to capture the celebration. Images from the evening may be used for OakLuv’s community storytelling, marketing, and future event promotions.

Yes. Children’s Fairyland is BARTable!
Take BART to 19th Street station. It’s a 10-minute walk to Fairyland.
Then, exit to the 20th Street stairway to street level.
Walk on 20th Street to Harrison Street. Turn left on Harrison.
Turn right on Grand Avenue.
Fairyland is one block away, at the intersection of Grand and Bellevue (right side).
On AC Transit (bus): Take the #12 bus from the 19th Street BART station to Fairyland.
